Business Development Manager - Mobile Access

To support our rapid growth, Skype is seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager, Mobile Access to this new role. The position is based in London and will play a key role supporting partnership activities around the world.

The individual will be part of a small dynamic team focused on delivering on Skype’s mobile strategy to significantly grow Skype’s user base, profitability and brand awareness.

Prinicpal activities of the role will be to:

  • Lead initiatives that will significantly grow Skype’s success leveraging Mobile Access partners.
  • Help build pipeline based on proactive strategy execution
  • Negotiating and closing deals with identified partners, based on standard deal templates and contracts
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and rapid execution of partner agreements.
  • Managing ongoing partner relationships
  • Team support and special projects

We are seeking applicants with a passion for Skype and exceptional track record in the mobile space. Ideally you will have:

  • 8+ years Commercial experience and recent experience working for a mobile operator
  • A strong understanding of consumer internet and telecoms business models
  • Excellent sales and deal closing experience
  • Strong business planning and analytical skills
  • Well-developed communication skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starting nature, with entrepreneurial drive and passion to succeed

Applicants must have fluency in English, with other language skills an advantage. You will also be a strong team player and able to work successfully with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
