To support our rapid growth, Skype is seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager, Mobile Access to this new role. The position is based in London and will play a key role supporting partnership activities around the world.
The individual will be part of a small dynamic team focused on delivering on Skype’s mobile strategy to significantly grow Skype’s user base, profitability and brand awareness.
Prinicpal activities of the role will be to:
- Lead initiatives that will significantly grow Skype’s success leveraging Mobile Access partners.
- Help build pipeline based on proactive strategy execution
- Negotiating and closing deals with identified partners, based on standard deal templates and contracts
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and rapid execution of partner agreements.
- Managing ongoing partner relationships
- Team support and special projects
We are seeking applicants with a passion for Skype and exceptional track record in the mobile space. Ideally you will have:
- 8+ years Commercial experience and recent experience working for a mobile operator
- A strong understanding of consumer internet and telecoms business models
- Excellent sales and deal closing experience
- Strong business planning and analytical skills
- Well-developed communication skills and attention to detail
- A self-starting nature, with entrepreneurial drive and passion to succeed
Applicants must have fluency in English, with other language skills an advantage. You will also be a strong team player and able to work successfully with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
