Skypes Innovation is a small team that is working on providing the Skype users base with new cutting edge products. This team aims to identify problems and solve them.
In this role you will be the technical project manager in the innovations team and your responsibilities will include various tasks including:
- defining products and features
- technical specifications andensuring they are launched on time.
- Daily interaction with core parts of the Skype organization, external partners and end users needs.
Responsibilities
- Definition and oversight of certain projects in the innovation team
- Driving feature/project roadmaps with input from software engineering
- Identify the internal and external dependencies and ensure their timely delivery
- Clearly outline the goals and deliverables of each project
- Feasibility studies for new projects
- Communicate project status
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
- Product management experience
- Knowledge of VOIP/Communications field both on consumer and enterprise side
- Experience working with software engineering teams, having an software engineering background is a plus
- Forward thinking and innovative approach to problem solving
- BA/Bsc or higher degree is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English is a must, other languages a plus)
- Demonstrated experience in working with broad cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results quickly
- Superior project and account management skills
- Willingness to travel (1 week per month)
