Skype Innovation is a small team that is working on providing the Skype users base with new cutting edge products. This team aims to identify problems and solve them. The key responsibility of the role is to design, develop and maintain Application software and/or middleware for VOIP application on Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms.
Education and Experience Required
- B.E, M.E, M.Tech or M.C.A with minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in design and development of applications and components on Microsoft Windows
- Strong C/C++ programming skills with expertise in design and coding
- Strong GUI skills
- Solid understanding and working experience with COM / ATL / STL / XML.
- Experience developing and debugging multi-threaded applications
- Very good knowledge of Windows and core WIN32 APIs
- System-level architecture design perspective
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Processes
- Working knowledge of software configuration management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Cross-platform experience (Windows, OSX, Linux).
- Knowledge of networking protocols, sockets programming, and P2P architectures.
- Experience developing internationalized applications.
- Basic understanding of multi-media APIs.
- Windows Mobile, Pocket PC
