The Senior Product Manager – Mobile Devices will lead the roadmap, lifecycle, feature set and design of Skype for mobile phones. He or she will have the opportunity to impact the future of the mobile industry by bringing the Skype revolution to mobile phones. The Product Manager will play a key role in the mobile product management team, interacting closely with customers, partners and the development team to ensure that the best product possible is developed.
Responsibilities
- Assess strategic and product requirements for successful Skype application development on mobile platforms.
- Define the product roadmap for Skype adoption in mobile/wireless handheld space.
- Manage priorities of multiple platform clients and wireless device constraints.
- Play a key role in identifying target markets, value propositions and marketing messages.
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
- 5 years minimum experience in product management activities. Working for (or closely with) world class mobile companies, start-ups, software vendors, device manufacturers or operators.
- Experience defining roadmaps, prioritising market requirements, and defining product value propositions.
- Can demonstrate deep familiarity with operators, manufacturers, and dynamics of the mobile phone industry.
- Can demonstrate knowledge of project management.
