General Manager, Payment and Fraud

Purpose of the Role

You will lead the team that manages one of the largest eCommerce stores in Europe. Skype processes millions of sales per month, selling both virtual and physical goods.

The GM will be responsible for the team that manages Payments and Fraud for all our products. You will work closely with the Operations team, who maintain and develop the billing and fraud environment.

Responsibilities and Targets

  • Ensuring development of new products, product management and continuance of the high performance of existing products, relationships with financial organisations, and ensuring that the process remains secure against fraudulent usage.

  • Responsible for leading a small team, sustaining high levels of productivity, morale and professionalism

  • Review and introduce mature and professional processes to the team and organisational structure

  • Your targets will be based on the combination of ensuring maximum completion and customer satisfaction, at acceptable loss.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Proven track record of managing payments or fraud in a multi million transaction international business. You are working with virtual services , possibly from content, gaming or banking. The position is open for exceptional candidates with different backgrounds

  • The ability to lead and manage a team operating in an increasingly complex environment. The team is responsible for managing and launching multiple products across multiple markets simultaneously.

  • You will likely have an analytical background, based from a market facing organisation.

  • Experience from online communities is desirable but not essential

  • Experience from content, eCommerce or gaming is desirable,

  • International experience of payments is essential
