Responsibilities
- Testing Skype web applications from frontend to backend
- Define and execute functional, usability, regression, load, automation, security and performance tests on Skype internal and external web services
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
- You are expert on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SSI
- You consider yourself as average level user of SQL and programming (keywords: PHP, Python, Java)
- You are familiar with Unix systems, Apache and Tomcat and also feel home using shell
- You have deep understanding of QA and testing methodology and processes
- You know and understand the main protocols of Internet network
- You are meticulous about details and quality
- At least one year experience of programming and testing of web applications
Requirements that apply to all testers
- Ability to prioritize multiple and diverse tasks expected
- Good technical, analytical and communication skills
- Very good command of English
- A “can-do” attitude and a serious desire to have an impact on changing the way people communicate
- You don´t tolerate mistakes and errors, you are pedant in a positive way
- Manage your own time and tasks efficiently so that you meet the deadlines
- Perl, Python, Unit and test automation experience is a big plus
- Experience with a defect tracking system (e.g. Bugzilla)
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills
