Role Description
The Business Development Manager-Retail (BDM-Retail) shall play a key role in establishing, developing, and managing commercial relationships with the companies' key consumers & distribution partners in the APAC region.
Job Requirements
Significant business experience, with at least half of this in experience in a BD or alliance management role - ideally in the telecommunications industry.
Deep understanding of the online industry in the APAC region
Successful track record of finding, structuring, negotiating and closing sustainable partnerships with Asian companies
Strong business planning, analytical and communication skills, with good attention to detail
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex business projects
Self-starter, with entrepreneurial drive and passion to succeed
Fluent in English, with other language skills an advantage
Strong team player, able to lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
Flexible approach to role and responsibilities
Essential functional / technical skills:
Can demonstrate training and experience in negotiation, strategy, commercial agreement process
Can demonstrate very strong understanding of the technologies which are involved in audio products, mobile devices, and computing devices and peripherals such as audio, webcams, and other devices.
Personal attributes / competencies:
Must demonstrate high energy and focus on getting deals done.
Must work well with a variety of roles
Must be passionate about technology, and bringing great new devices to market.
Able to multi-task well
Able to work will in a fast moving start-up environment, with non-hierarchal structure.
