Skype Labs is seeking a motivated Quality Engineer with an innate curiosity about how things work and the drive to improve them. This is a key role on our team helping to guide development and define acceptance tests. The QE role is an integral part of the agile team and is not separate from the Developers and Product Owner.
Responsibilities include creating and implementing test acceptance criteria, automated testing, recording defects, evaluating test data, problem discovery, tracking and resolution in addition to ensuring a high level of end user satisfaction by managing customer defects. You will be expected to find innovative ways of automating all aspects of the testing.
Ideal candidates will have the following experience and attributes:
Previous QE experience is a must
Experience testing complex network and telecommunications applications and protocols.
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Strong team-orientated, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Willing to work in a dynamic development environment.
Must be highly motivated, self-driven, and have the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Experience with Agile Software Development Methods desired.
