The Brief

Skype Business Intelligence Team is responsible for providing management and financial information to internal customers. You will be working on multi-terabyte data warehouse environment to maintain, optimize and improve our technical solution. We are looking for an experienced database professional who would like to explore new horizon.
Responsibilities:
• Incorporate new data sources into DW
• Create and maintain DW data structures and loading scripts to ensure that they reflect changes of business process and reporting requirements (star schema, aggregates etc)
• Ensure that data is acquired in a consistent and effective way
• Working in a team in designing, developing and testing database stored procedures, aggregations and materialized views
• Conducting SQL performance tuning & optimization
• Creating technical documentation
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience:
• BSc degree in computer science or related area
• Solid understanding of SQL and object oriented programming
• Capable to adapt thinking to VLDB world
• Solid knowledge of Python is an advantage
• Experience as ETL developer is an advantage
• Some experience of DB administration
• Fluent in English
