Brief
Skype software is much more than just chatting or calling nowadays! In addition to some central services like login/authentication and calling we have many additional services running in our data centers. Services handling tens of thousands requests per second. Our quality engineers make sure that services running on data centers are highly scalable and have the highest quality of software possible. You will be working on regular changes in existing services and You will be part of new product development. You will use and help implementing tools and improve automated test system wherever possible. You will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team working in challenging atmosphere. You will work closely with developers conducting research, work on tech edge prototypes, do load and regression testing. If you are fluent with linux servers and databases then this is something for You!

Responsibilities
• create/manage test plans and test cases according to product specification
• prepare environment for testing - code compilation, installation, server administration
• automate and execute regression, functionality, benchmark, stress and load testing on different server environments
• bug tracking, reporting defects to developers
• discovering and isolating product flaws quickly and effectively
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
• BS degree in CS/EE or equivalent
• Experience in (load)testing and/or supporting real-time, client-server based systems
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience testing server-based software: OSes, APIs, SQL and/or protocols
• Understanding of testing concepts, processes and methodologies in distributed, multi-user, client-server systems
• Experience SQL, scripting (shell, Perl, Python), Linux/Unix
• Unix/Linux TCP/UDP networking knowledge is a big plus.
